Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes: Thank you for your tireless work in our community

In connection with the World Press Day on September 1, the Government of Aruba organized a meeting with the press of Aruba as a thank you for the tireless work they do in our community. This took place on Sunday 3 September at the FUTURA building in Scotlandstraat.

Cabinet Minister Wever-Croes came in uniform with a “Thank You Press” message on it to ensure that all members of the press present knew the respect and appreciation our government has for members of the press who bring accurate information to our people.

Members of the press who were present from various media including Top FM, TeleAruba, Nos Mainta, Diario, Mas FM, Bon dia Aruba, Acceso Total, Bo Informado, Aruba Native and Noticia Impacto.

During the meeting group competitions were held, including Seso sport/breaking coconut and Mimica where the winning team received their prizes. This was followed by a fine lunch prepared for our day’s guests.

Finally, the presenting delegates took the time to thank each member of the press for their work. Hubert Tiel was also recognized as the most attended member of the press at the press conference of the Government of Aruba.

The Prime Minister on behalf of the Government of Aruba would like to thank the members of the press for accepting the invitation of the Government to attend this activity as well as for all the work that they do, not only to bring the message of the Government to our people but also to inform the people with all the other information necessary to strengthen our country and protect freedom of expression. Thank you Press.

A special thanks goes to Lyonel Dirkz and Kerekentenchi for organizing and as MC to entertain the entire press conference and making it a success.
