A rather serious accident took place over the weekend on the road from the Paradera T-intersection towards Jaburibari. The incident did not happen at an unfamiliar T-intersection where accidents frequently occur; today, once again, carelessness resulted in a heavy impact.
According to information gathered at the scene, a car was coming from the west and, for one reason or another, the driver failed to see an approaching motorcycle. When the vehicle turned to head in the direction of Jaburibari, it could not avoid the collision.
The impact was of such magnitude that the person on the motorcycle was thrown a considerable distance from their vehicle. Both vehicles sustained significant material damage.
Both drivers were in a state of shock after the event. The person on the motorcycle was complaining loudly of pain due to the blows received.
Police personnel and an ambulance quickly arrived at the scene to provide first aid medical assistance to the injured person and initiate a preliminary investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
