Flambeu parade in Aruba with 8 detained

On Saturday night at exactly 8 pm the Flambeu parade started leaving from in front of the ex-Kooyman on Avenida Milo Croes.

The Political Corps together with SMAC and Minister President Eveline Wever-Croes ignited the flame to start the parade.

The Police Corps conducted a check on the vehicles that were part of the parade. Here it was found that there were vehicles and that they did not have the necessary documents. Also take out of the parade a UTV for not having the documents in order.

The parade was stopped until a solution was found.Then the parade continued and at 00:43 the head of the parade reached the ex-DOW. At 02:58 the end came.

This year the number of arrests has decreased.There were arrests for failing to report. The arrests were for drunkenness, fighting, possession of drugs, possession of a weapon and insulting a police officer. There were 2 arrests related to the abuse that were passed to the investigation department.

Compared to 2023, the Flambeu parade counted 19 arrests and this year 8 arrests.
