MEP faction leader Evelyn Wever-Croes: There is a lot of musical chairs regarding ministerial portfolios

The Law on the Establishment of Ministries (LIM), which should have been approved when the government was formed—at the moment the ministerial portfolios were assigned so it would be clear who is minister of which portfolio—has now reached parliament. According to Wever-Croes, up to today, under the AVP–FUTURO government, there is still no clear view of who is officially the minister of what. According to MP Evelyn Wever-Croes, the AVP–FUTURO government is the most chaotic government ever seen.

In addition to this, the vice president of parliament, Muzaninne Wever, attempted to impose that the law be handled within 24 hours and that no questions should be asked. According to MP Evelyn Wever-Croes, this is improper, as members of parliament normally receive three weeks to study a law, formulate their questions, and prepare themselves for the meeting.
