Stichting Schouwburg Aruba, the foundation behind the National Theater of Aruba – Cas di Cultura – has officially been awarded ANBI status (Public Benefit Organization). This recognition marks an important milestone in the organization’s growth and professionalization.
In the Netherlands, ANBI status is granted exclusively to organizations that demonstrably promote the public interest. This designation confirms that the work of Cas di Cultura contributes to social, cultural, and educational development within the Aruban community.
For Cas di Cultura, this strengthens its position as the premier cultural platform in Aruba. ANBI status offers additional confidence to partners, donors, and funds, as it guarantees that the foundation operates transparently, conducts its financial affairs prudently, and uses its resources for its cultural mission. In addition, contributions from donors and Dutch funds can be made with more tax benefits, significantly expanding the possibilities for sponsorship and cultural investments.
“The awarding of ANBI status is a valuable step for our organization,” says Stichting Schouwburg Aruba. “It supports our ambition to modernize Cas di Cultura, make it more sustainable, and further develop it as a place where art, culture, and education come together for all the residents of Aruba.”
With the prospect of a large-scale renovation and the expansion of programs and partnerships, this recognition forms a strong foundation for the future of Cas di Cultura.
