Members of Grupo Monarka recently gathered to celebrate Flag and Anthem Day, an important national date for Aruba. During the celebration, the seniors shared joy, music and companionship while marking the historic moment of this patriotic festivity.
During the activity, members of Grupo Monarka enjoyed an atmosphere of unity and celebration while remembering the deep meaning of the national date. The gathering was part of the broader celebration of Aruba’s historic year, which also commemorates 40 years of Status Aparte and 50 years of our Anthem and Flag.
Flag and Anthem Day is celebrated every year on March 18, commemorating the official introduction of the flag and the national anthem “Aruba Dushi Tera” in 1976, a symbol of pride and national identity for the Aruban people.
According to Liccia Maduro of Grupo Monarka, the celebration was a special moment for the members of the group, where they were able to come together to enjoy themselves and honor the national symbols of Aruba. During the activity, the participants celebrated with enthusiasm and marked another step in the commemoration of these historic days for the country.
The gathering showed how our seniors continue to actively participate in cultural and patriotic celebrations, passing on national pride and tradition from generation to generation.
