DCA shares educational resources for the San Juan – Dera Gay Festival 2026

Within the framework of its commitment to the preservation and promotion of our Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Department of Culture Aruba (DCA) is making various educational resources related to the San Juan – Dera Gay Festival 2026 available to schools and the community.

These resources seek to strengthen the knowledge and appreciation of one of our most vibrant cultural traditions, stimulating its transmission to present and future generations.

Among the available resources are:

General information regarding the San Juan – Dera Gay Festival 2026;

Special episodes of Bentana Cultural (Cultural Window) dedicated to the tradition;

Educational audiovisual material for use in schools and the community.

Additionally, DCA announces the following initiatives within the framework of the San Juan – Dera Gay Project 2026:

Special programming on Tele Aruba on June 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.;

Distribution of educational audiovisual material;

The launch of the Casita Cultural App.

Furthermore, the Department of Culture Aruba invites the community to celebrate our cultural heritage, our tradition, and our culture during the San Juan Festival in the neighborhoods.
