Rachelle Lue-Goedgedrag is an Aruban author who loves writing stories that immerse readers in a world full of adventure, allowing them to experience different emotions and connect deeply with the characters. In her stories, she combines her interest in psychology with her love for our Papiamento language, creating suspense that keeps readers eager to find out what happens next.
Her passion for writing began by playing with words and creating poetry, which gradually grew into short stories and eventually novels. Through her writing, she brings to life emotions, relationships, and situations that people can easily relate to. Her writing style is approachable and natural, featuring dialogue that sounds just as people speak to one another in Aruba.
With her first book, Louella, Rachelle made her debut in the literary world in 2024. The novel captured significant attention and left many readers eager for more. This was followed in 2026 by Y ami awo?, her first children’s book. With this book, Rachelle aims to emphasize the importance of caring for our nature and animals, raising awareness among both young and old about the role we play in protecting them.
In addition to being an author, Rachelle is a psychology teacher, Head Dean, Public Relations officer, and part of the International Affairs team at Colegio EPI in Aruba. She is also the founder of the Fundacion Conecta y Briya, which creates opportunities to bring people together through books, educational projects, social activities, and puzzle competitions.
Rachelle is married to Naviel and is the proud mother of three sons, Jaythro, Xavier, and Gian, whose curiosity, imagination, and way of seeing the world continue to inspire her creativity every day.
