Olympic athlete Monica Pimentel, who is well known in the sports world not only for her athletic career but also as president of the Athletes’ Commission and national Taekwondo coach, has successfully completed her internship at the Aruban Olympic Committee (COA). This internship took place as part of her studies in the Bachelor’s Program “Organization, Governance and Management” (OGM) at the University of Aruba.
During her internship at COA, Monica was part of the Development Directorate and worked alongside Director Patrick Werleman, organizing a variety of courses such as the “Capacity Building Training”, “Sports Administration Course”, and the 2026 Anti-Doping Conference. Beyond these courses, she contributed to various departments within COA, proving to be a highly capable young professional with a strong drive to work for the betterment of sports in Aruba.
