Autentico Aruba Culinary Festival is much more than a culinary festival. In addition to celebrating the authentic flavors of Aruba, the initiative also focuses on investing in the professionals who shape our island’s culinary industry today and who will lead its future.
As part of this commitment, Autentico will organize an Industry Seminar on October 8, 2026, bringing together chefs, hospitality professionals, and restaurant operators for a morning of inspiration, innovation, and knowledge exchange. The event will take place at Embassy Suites Aruba.
The seminar will offer valuable perspectives on sustainability, service excellence, international trends in gastronomy, and Aruba’s positioning as a culinary destination. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from recognized experts and leaders in the international culinary industry. The program will include presentations by internationally renowned experts, a panel discussion, and a culinary demonstration.
Among the invited speakers is Sian Young, an educator and consultant in waste management and founder of Siel Environment Services, with more than 20 years of experience in sustainability and environmental policy. Werner Loens, former director and Chief Inspector of the Michelin Guide Benelux, with 37 years of experience in gastronomic excellence and hospitality. Additionally, Lindsey Peckham will speak—a leader in hospitality and former Director of Guest Relations at Eleven Madison Park, specializing in creating a service-oriented culture, developing high-performing teams, and crafting exceptional experiences for visitors. Finally, there is Virgilio Martínez, a Peruvian chef recognized for representing and promoting Peru, its biodiversity, and landscapes, as well as for his vision of a new gastronomic system that marked a turning point in haute cuisine.
