Mr. Robertico Croes will present his book “A Journey to Happiness” at the National Library of Aruba this Thursday, February 18. The presentation will begin at 6:30 PM and end at 8:30 PM. The presentation will be in English. This is an open invitation to the general public.
Author Robertico Croes explores and investigates the impact of tourism on travelers and the communities they visit, and how this shapes the happiness and well-being of each individual. Mr. Croes describes the benefits of tourism and examines its multidimensional effects on areas such as culture, the environment, and society, as well as the individual experiences of travelers. The author advocates for a balanced approach to tourism, one that places human well-being at the center of management and practice. This book will surely be of interest to professionals in the tourism sector as well as students.
Dr. Robertico Croes is a professor at UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Croes previously served as Minister of Tourism and Economic Affairs (1994–1998) and Minister of Finance (1998–2001) in Aruba. He is also known as a poet. The National Library holds his work “Potret di un cara desconocí” (Tico Croes) in its collection, illustrated by visual artist Giolina Henriquez. Another work by Mr. Croes, “Alma Sangra”, was published under the pseudonym “Tikoli.”
