The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) and the Aruban Olympic Committee (C.O.A.) signed a strategic agreement that strengthens Aruba’s presence on the international stage by uniting tourism and sports under one shared goal: promoting Aruba while investing in the well-being and progress of our athletes and community.

Since 2019, A.T.A. has provided support to C.O.A. For the upcoming Olympic Cycle, leading to the Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles in 2028, A.T.A. has expanded its support. The funds are allocated to athlete development and talent identification. Beyond sports, the focus also includes youth empowerment and support for mental health. This alliance reflects A.T.A.’s vision to continue building a destination based on well-being and sustainability, while aligning with C.O.A.’s Olympic values such as respect, friendship, and excellence.

At the upcoming 2028 Olympic Games, Aruba will have a unique opportunity to increase its international visibility. Every time Team Aruba competes on the world stage, our island showcases its talent and pride. Participation in qualification events and competitions ensures Aruba maintains a consistent presence on the international sports calendar, increasing global recognition and demonstrating that our country invests in excellence and the future.

A.T.A. CEO Ronella Croes congratulated C.O.A. for the work accomplished, which has brought great pride to the community. She also stated:
“For A.T.A., the partnership with C.O.A. allows us to invest tourism funds in our youth, in the development of our people and our community through sports, and in the international promotion of our destination through our Olympic ambassadors.”

The agreement represents a commitment to work together on a long-term plan focused on results and continuous collaboration. This alliance inspires our youth, strengthens community well-being, and supports the dreams of our athletes. United by a shared vision, we proudly carry Aruba’s flag on the world stage, creating opportunities and positive impact for Aruba.

C.O.A. President Wanda Broeksema expressed:
“There is a natural synergy between tourism and sports: both focus on excellence, hospitality, and passion. Now that we are extending our contract with the Aruba Tourism Authority, we are renewing our promise to strengthen Aruba’s global reputation. A.T.A. brings the world to Aruba, and through our athletes, C.O.A. brings Aruba to the world. We look forward with optimism to achieving new goals together.”
