After three years of providing information and consultation, the Public Entity of Bonaire will soon begin enforcement at garages where repeated violations have been identified. During this period, the entrepreneurs involved have been informed multiple times about the applicable regulations.
During an information session on March 17, 2025, and a meeting on September 4, 2025, garages were clearly informed about the necessary improvements and the consequences if these improvements were not made.
Enforcement will begin with the garages that have the highest number of violations. Ultimately, all garages will be inspected and, where necessary, addressed. The goal is to work together with entrepreneurs toward a safe, clean, and future-proof sector.
