Dancing is much more than simply moving to the rhythm of music. It is a way to connect, enjoy, keep the body active, and share special moments together. With this vision, Centro di Bario Noord presents “BAILE PA DOS,” a dance course specially designed for couples wishing to learn new steps and enjoy a wonderful evening together.
The course is facilitated by well-known instructor Erwin Croes, who throughout the lessons will guide participants step-by-step through various dance disciplines. The program offers a diverse combination of rhythms and styles, ensuring there is something for every couple who loves music and dance.
Erwin has a long history in Aruba’s dance scene. He was part of the first dance group at Centro di Bario Noord (CBN) during the Watapana Festival era. Later, he directed CBN’s Baile di Cinta and Dera Gay dance group.
For 10 years, Erwin taught dance at St. Anna School and prepared many young people for their quinceañera celebrations. His love and dedication for dance expanded his career further as he joined various groups, including Aruba Dance Formation, with whom he performed for 30 years.
With Aruba Dance Formation, Erwin performed at various hotels during evening shows as well as at the Bon Bini Festival. His artistic journey took him and the group to several countries and destinations, including the Netherlands, St. Maarten, Paraguay, and North Carolina, where they represented Aruba with talent and passion.
With his years of experience, Erwin Croes continues to share his knowledge and love for dance with the next generation.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice Waltz, Mazurka, Tumba, Son Montuno, Bolero, Merengue, Salsa, and Bachata during the 11-week course. The variety of rhythms allows students to not only learn techniques and new steps, but also discover different ways to move together as a couple.
“BAILE PA DOS” starts on September 23, 2026, and runs until December 2, 2026. Classes take place once a week, every Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, offering an ideal midweek opportunity to break away from routine, meet other couples, and enjoy a social, joyful atmosphere.
Participation is only Afl. 150.00 per couple. To ensure a pleasant environment and sufficient individual attention, the course is limited to 20 couples, with a maximum capacity of 25 couples.
Centro di Bario Noord invites couples of all ages who are interested in learning, moving, and having fun to take advantage of this opportunity. No professional dance background is required; the course is a chance to practice, learn, and enjoy together in a relaxed and friendly setting.
