This past week, Filomena College MAVO (FCM) dedicated a special series of events to express gratitude and appreciation for the hard work of its teaching faculty and administrative staff. Under the banner of ‘Teachers Appreciation Week,’ the school organized daily surprises as a symbol of gratitude for the staff’s unwavering dedication to student education.

The initiative, led by Ms. Judesca Holsman, transformed the staff room into an atmosphere of celebration and recognition. Each day, the central lounge was adorned with various products, gifts, and special tokens of appreciation for every member of the FCM team.

Recognizing Educational Labor The management of Filomena College MAVO emphasized the importance of such gestures in motivating staff who work tirelessly for the future of the youth in San Nicolas. This appreciation extends beyond classroom teachers to include every staff member who contributes to the daily operations of the institute.

Local Business Support The success of this week was made possible through the generous collaboration of several local companies and foundations. Filomena College MAVO extends its immense gratitude to:

  • Martijn Trading
  • Fundacion MiJu
  • Subway
  • TEC Inc Aruba
  • Swift Distribution
  • Pelican Adventures
  • Sublicious Aruba

A special mention was given to Tiny Spoons by Youth House Montessori, who delighted the staff with a selection of specialty hot and cold beverages throughout the celebration. Through these initiatives, FCM reaffirms its commitment not only to academic excellence but also to the well-being and recognition of those who form the heart of the school.
