The senior citizen group Honey Bees Dakota has celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of gatherings, friendship, and community activity.

The celebration began with a pleasant breakfast, where joy was visible on the face of every member. A moment of great pride occurred when the group joined their voices to sing the National Anthem, followed by the Honey Bees’ own anthem, symbolizing the unity and strong identity they have cultivated over the last decade.

The morning was attended by Minister Wyatt-Ras, who shared a pleasant time with the members to personally congratulate them on this beautiful anniversary. Throughout the years, Honey Bees has created a space where seniors can meet regularly to share experiences, maintain social activity, and strengthen bonds of friendship. Initiatives like this contribute directly to the emotional well-being and quality of life of our seniors.

The Ministry of Health, Social Affairs, Senior Care, and Addiction Policy recognizes the value of community groups like Honey Bees, which promote active participation and social inclusion.

“Our seniors are an important pillar in our community. Initiatives like Honey Bees show how unity, attention, and social activity can make a real difference in the lives of our elderly,” stated Minister Wyatt-Ras.

With this celebration, the Ministry reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that the quality of life for our seniors remains a priority in our society, given the positive impact these types of associations have on Aruba. On behalf of the Ministry, we congratulate the Honey Bees Dakota group on their 10 years of dedication and wish them much success in the years to come.
