On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Bonaire will head to the polls for the Dutch House of Representatives elections (Tweede Kamerverkiezingen).
As a special municipality of the Netherlands, residents of Bonaire are also entitled to vote in these elections.
For this occasion, a special online tool has been created for the BES islands — the Kieskompas Caribbean Netherlands. This tool aims to help residents of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba make a well-informed choice on October 29.
The Kieskompas Caribbean Netherlands is available in three languages – Papiamentu, Dutch, and English – and can be accessed at:
https://caribischnederland.kieskompas.nl/nl/
The language can be changed at the top of the page using the language menu.
The first two questions (“Would you like to tell us something about yourself?” and “Would you like to participate in scientific research?”) are optional, as is the final question (“May we ask you a few more questions?”).
However, the 30 statements of the Kieskompas must be answered in order to receive accurate results.
After completing the Kieskompas, voters will see a visual overview of the political landscape, the positions of various parties on the 30 statements, and detailed party information.
At any time, voters can click on a party logo to learn more.
