Do not put your trust in things that are temporary, but persevere, keep fighting, and put your trust in things that are eternal, because God loves those who trust in Him.
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock. (Isaiah 26:3-4)
When we trust in the Lord, it is in the Lord that we trust, because the Lord never leaves people abandoned nor forsaken. The Lord does great things when people lose hope and throw in the towel; God rises up and demonstrates His power and His authority in our lives, because God is sovereign. With God, there is no such thing as arriving late, because God’s time is perfect, and God makes everything complete, leaving nothing halfway.
God deserves all our trust in every area of our lives—in our homes, in our families, in our marriages—and we all know that we must place our children in God’s hands, because children are a gift from God. The trust we have in God, no matter how dark things may look, brings joy to our hearts because only God says this:
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
And do not forget what Jesus said:
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:6-7)
Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22)
Do not let stress and depression dominate your mind and your heart; place everything in the hands of the Lord, because the Lord is our refuge and our strength, the Lord is our present help in times of trouble. The Lord is the owner of all things, and the Lord knows all things; the Lord is alive and real, and do not forget that with God, nothing is impossible.
Everything we speak with our mouths demonstrates that we have faith in God, because we have to speak positively since our God is positive. God always gives strength, God gives vision, and God Himself brings provision.
I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:12-13)
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. (Hebrews 10:35-36)
Now this is the confidence that we have such before Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
At all times, we must put our trust in God. Put all doubt aside and fix our eyes on God.
