On 17 and 18 November 2026, the Governments of Aruba, Curaçao, the Netherlands,
and Sint Maarten will meet in Sint Maarten for the first-ever Kingdom Summit. The
Kingdom Summit is a high-level governmental meeting between the governments of the
autonomous countries of the Kingdom. The Summit is dedicated to strengthening
cooperation among the four countries of the Kingdom.
During the Kingdom Summit, each country will present its own “State of the Nation”
address. In these presentations, the Prime Ministers will reflect on the successes and
challenges of their respective countries and highlight policy areas where new or closer
cooperation is possible.
Cooperation is essential for ensuring a resilient and future-ready Kingdom. Mutual
respect for each country's position, shared ties, and the willingness to support one
another are key pillars of that cooperation. This Kingdom Summit provides an
opportunity to strengthen and deepen the relationships between the governments. In
addition, through this initiative, the four countries aim to create greater continuity and
coherence in the periodic consultations between the governments.
Prime Minister of Sint Maarten, Dr. Luc Mercelina:
"Sint Maarten looks forward to welcoming the governments of Aruba, Curaçao, and the
Netherlands for this first Kingdom Summit. By working together while remaining mindful
of our differences, we are building a stronger and future-ready Kingdom."
