work began on organizing the unpaved parking area at Plenchi Brion. These efforts aim to provide a clearer and more efficient layout of the available space, ensuring optimal and safe use of the parking area. The site will remain dirt/diabase, but approximately 60 parking spaces will be durably marked out.
The work will take place from Friday, September 18, through Sunday, September 20:
Friday, September 18: work and marking of the site will begin at 3:00 PM;
Saturday, September 19: work will continue throughout the entire day;
Sunday, September 20: work throughout the day, expected to finish by the afternoon.
During the works, access to the square may be limited, and users are requested to follow local traffic directions.
With efficient planning of the available space, proper usage of the area will become much clearer. A clear distinction will be made between parking spaces and pedestrian walkways. In this way, everyone can use the square safely, orderly, and efficiently.
With these works, the Directorate of Supervision and Enforcement (Directie Toezicht en Handhaving) and the Directorate of Spatial Planning and Development (Directie Ruimte en Ontwikkeling) of the Public Entity Bonaire are taking the next concrete step toward the continuous improvement of public spaces in the town center.
