The Police Force informs that this morning, Traffic Police detained a person in connection with the hit-and-run case in Pos Abou.
It concerns a man with the initials D.P., born in Colombia, 36 years of age.
The incident occurred on December 27, 2025, around 8:00 p.m., when a car struck two women, leaving them seriously injured.
One of the victims was in critical condition and was admitted to the ICU.
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., police were notified by hospital staff that the victim had passed away. A doctor officially pronounced the death of tourist Lisa Marie Barnett, born on October 26, 1968 (57 years old), in the United States.
The victim became the 11th traffic fatality for the year 2025.
