Saturday at approximately 3:25 p.m., the police headquarters was informed that at a house in Bubali, a male person had ended his life.
A patrol unit was urgently dispatched to the scene, along with an ambulance.
Upon arrival, the patrol officers confirmed that a man had taken his own life by using a firearm.
The ambulance arrived at the location and provided medical assistance to the victim, but unfortunately nothing more could be done.
Detectives, forensic police, and the victim support department were notified of the incident.
Forensic doctor Dr. Wemejier arrived at the scene and officially confirmed the death of the man with the initials E.E.T., born in Aruba, aged 68 years.
The case is under investigation and is in the hands of the detective department to determine whether it concerns a crime or not.
The Aruba Police Corps extends its condolences to the family of the deceased.
