at approximately 5:40 AM, the police central dispatch was notified of an accident in front of a property in Sabana Liber, involving a motorcycle.
Patrols and an ambulance were immediately dispatched to the scene of the incident.
Upon the arrival of the first patrol, they encountered a man whose condition appeared to be severe. According to information gathered at the scene, the motorcycle had likely collided with the sidewalk.
The ambulance arrived at the location and immediately provided the male motorcyclist (victim) with the necessary medical assistance, after which he was stabilized and transported with maximum urgency to the hospital. The victim was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Traffic specialists and the forensic police department (BFTO) arrived at the scene to conduct the necessary investigation. Additionally, the victim support services (Slachtofferhulp) were notified to assist the victim’s family.
Today, Tuesday afternoon, the police central dispatch was informed by hospital staff that the victim’s condition had become critical.
At 1:17 PM, a physician pronounced the death of the male victim, identified as Johan Fernando Vasquez Lopez, born in Colombia on March 10, 1993 (33 years old).
The case remains under investigation to deduce exactly what occurred. This marks the 7th traffic fatality for the year 2026.
