Bonaire brings together softball teams from the Caribbean and the Netherlands from October 22 to 25, 2026.
BONAIRE – From October 22 to 25, 2026, Bonaire will play host to the 13th edition of the Caribbean Women 35+ Softball Tournament. The Bonaire Angels are organizing this international tournament, featuring teams from Bonaire, Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten, and the Netherlands, among others.
The purpose of the tournament is to bring together women who share a passion for softball while strengthening athletic and cultural ties between the Caribbean islands and the Netherlands. As such, the event is not merely a sports competition, but also an opportunity for communities connected by historical and cultural bonds to connect.
Four days of softball
Games will take place at the Jossy Boekhoudt Ballpark. The schedule kicks off on Thursday, October 22, with exhibition and regular-season games. Friday, October 23, will feature the opening ceremony, followed by more action on Saturday. On Sunday, October 25, the semifinals and grand final will be played, with the championship game starting at 6:15 PM.
The Bonaire Angels are welcoming participating teams with the goal of organizing a sporting event centered around hospitality. The 35+ age category highlights that enthusiasm, competitiveness, and athletic drive continue to play a major role at every stage of life.
A bridge between the Caribbean and the Netherlands
The tournament’s added value lies in bringing together players from diverse countries and cultures. On the field, they are rivals, but off the field, they exchange experiences, build friendships, and strengthen connections.
