Stingray Swimming Team continues to celebrate an exceptional performance by its elite athlete, Elisabeth Timmer, who during the Rotterdam Qualification Meet 2026 confirmed her continuous growth on the international stage with national records, multiple personal bests, and a strong mentality that keeps pushing her for more.

Aruban Record Broken Twice
Elisabeth achieved something extraordinary in the 100m freestyle event: breaking the Aruban Record twice in a single day. In the morning, she broke the record for the first time, clocking a time of 56.68, and in the afternoon, she lowered her time once again to an impressive 56.45.

This result is not only a technical achievement but proof of consistency and the ability to perform under pressure.

3 Personal Bests: A Sign of Real Progress
During this competition, Elisabeth registered:

100m Freestyle – 2x PB (and Aruban record)

50m Freestyle – 1x PB

Three time improvements (PBs) in an international competition confirm that her training is paying off and that she is moving in the right direction.

50m Backstroke: Close to Another National Record
In the 50m backstroke, Elisabeth finished the final with a time of 30.26, getting closer each time to the goal of dropping under 30 seconds.

In her own words:

“I didn’t manage to break the record yet, but I came very close… and that 29 seconds will come soon, because I keep training hard.”

This determination clearly reflects the mentality of an athlete who does not settle but continues to work for excellence.

Champion Mentality
More than the times, what stands out is her attitude:

Reflecting on her race

Recognizing where she can improve

And continuing with focus toward the next opportunity

That is the foundation of true growth in high-level sports.

Pride for Aruba
Competing against European-level athletes, Elisabeth Timmer puts Aruba on the map with every start, every stroke, and every finish. Her achievement is an inspiration for young swimmers and a clear example of how far dedication and discipline can take you.

Stingray Celebrates
Stingray Swimming Team congratulates Elisabeth on her extraordinary performance, setting the Aruban Record once again, along with multiple personal bests (PBs) and constant progress.
