Micheila Trinidad, winner of the “Bonaire to PSV” campaign,
enjoyed a special day in Eindhoven on October 15 together with her daughter, Allisha Trinidad.
During their visit, they discovered different aspects of PSV, got a behind-the-scenes look at the
club, and experienced the world of professional football up close.
For Allisha, who is also a member of a football team on Bonaire, the visit was particularly
meaningful. It gave her the opportunity to discover PSV’s professional football environment and
watch a training session of the PSV Women’s team up close. The experience offered her
inspiration, new impressions, and an opportunity to further strengthen her enthusiasm for
football. In addition, the visit allowed mother and daughter to share a unique experience and
create lasting memories together.
The day began with a morning tour of De Herdgang, PSV’s training complex. Micheila and
Allisha then had the opportunity to watch part of a training session by the PSV Women’s team.
After the session, they were able to collect autographs. The program continued with a guided
tour of the Philips Stadion, where they explored the stadium and gained further insight into the
world behind the club.
The “Bonaire to PSV” and “PSV to Bonaire” campaigns were organized by Tourism
Corporation Bonaire (TCB), in collaboration with PSV and the Public Entity of Bonaire (OLB).
Marjolein Oleana, Business Manager & Europe Liaison at TCB, is pleased that local residents of
Bonaire also have the opportunity to enjoy special experiences like this.
“It is wonderful to see residents of Bonaire gaining new experiences and inspiration through this
collaboration. The fact that Micheila was able to share this experience with her daughter, Allisha,
makes it even more special. For young athletes, an experience like this can be a great source of
motivation to continue developing their skills,” said Oleana.
The visit to Eindhoven was part of the prize Micheila won through the “Bonaire to PSV”
campaign. The trip gave mother and daughter the opportunity to experience PSV firsthand and
discover the sporting and cultural environment of the Brainport Eindhoven region.
The partnership between OLB and PSV began in 2022 and focuses on strengthening the social,
sporting, and economic ties between Bonaire and the Brainport Eindhoven region. Sports
development, talent development, and knowledge exchange are key elements of this
collaboration. Special attention is also given to the development of women’s football, with the
aim of creating more opportunities for girls and women to develop their skills and pursue their
ambitions in the sport. As part of the partnership, TCB is responsible for the marketing and
promotion of Bonaire.
Through these campaigns, the partners aim to further strengthen the connection between Bonaire
and Eindhoven while actively involving Bonaire’s residents in the collaboration. Micheila and
Allisha’s visit demonstrates how sports, tourism, and cultural exchange can bring people and
regions closer together. At the same time, it provides young athletes like Allisha with
opportunities to gain inspiration beyond their own surroundings and discover new perspectives.
Tourism Corporation Bonaire would like to thank PSV, and in particular Laurens van Leuken, for
the warm welcome and for helping make this special experience possible. TCB also extends its
gratitude to Corendon for sponsoring the flight tickets.
