Bonaire is preparing for September 16th now to hear about 10 short stories written by new authors and short story tellers.
This project is an initiative of Academic Papiamento to promote our language speech, especially our sayings and proverbs. There were about fourteen men in all who participated in writing and counting courses, signed by Bernardina of Art Culture and The Education Foundation provided the courses.
After three months of preparation we are ready to present in Bonaire some new short stories as described by Elsmarie Beukenboom of the Academia Papiamento. Participants had to use proverbs and sayings to inspire them to write a short story. It must be said that the stories vary in genre from dramatic to humorous.
