BHRO and Human Rights International Celebrate Historic Achievement of Significant Human Rights Events in Bonaire

The Bonaire Human Rights Organization (BHRO), accredited by the United Nations in collaboration with United for Human Rights International, proudly announces the successful completion of a series of historic human rights events that strengthened community consensus and placed Bonaire on the global map of human rights.

Workshop “We Also Have Rights” – A First-Ever Historic Event in Bonaire

On December 6, BHRO, together with United for Human Rights International, organized the first-ever human rights workshop and seminar in Bonaire. Participants took part in interactive training, cultural presentations, and a formal certification test, resulting in Bonaire having its first certified Human Rights Defenders.

With this achievement, Bonaire officially becomes the 191st country in the world to implement the United for Human Rights Program.

“This is a historic moment,” said James Finies, founder of BHRO. Bonaire now proudly joins 190 other countries committed to education and empowerment in human rights.
