The Curaçao National Investigation Department (Landsrecherche Curaçao LrC) has launched a criminal investigation following an order from the Public Prosecutor’s Office (Procureur-General) in connection with a recent complaint of assault.
As part of the investigation, the Minister of Governance, Planning and Public Services (BPD) has been formally designated as a suspect and has been notified accordingly. In line with the National Ordinance on Integrity of (candidate) ministers, the Prime Minister and the Governor have also been informed.
In the interest of the ongoing investigation, no further details are being released at this time.
