This week, Aruba is serving as host for the interparliamentary Kingdom meetings, bringing together parliamentarians from the commissions of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and the Netherlands to discuss various topics of common interest.

The MEP faction will be present at the meetings and will focus on its main topic: the Kingdom law HOFA. During the meetings, MEP will present all relevant information to the Dutch parliamentarians responsible for implementing the law.

According to Evelyn Wever-Croes, the law is not beneficial for Aruba, as it conflicts with the Constitution. More than 13 unions and over 10,000 people have already expressed their opposition. In addition, the law is unnecessary, considering that Aruba’s financial situation is stable.

MEP remains firm in its commitment to defend the interests of our country and protect the rights of our citizens.
