It is unfortunate and wrong that a parliamentary majority decides to make fundamental changes to Aruba’s autonomy without allowing the people to express themselves through a referendum

Parlamentario Mike De Meza

According to the AVP faction, Member of Parliament Mike de Meza is the only one who has publicly spoken out against the Kingdom Law HOFA.
De Meza stated that since entering politics, he has always stood for Aruba’s autonomy, even if he had to do so alone.
Regarding autonomy and the Kingdom Charter, he emphasized that parliamentarians must respect these principles and always stand by Aruba, in honor of the ancestors who fought so that Aruba could live in freedom today.
