Aruba Lions Club recently held its completely free Health Fair, which took place at Xavier University on Santa Helenastraat, Oranjestad. During the event, which ran from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the public benefited from various medical examinations and health services at no cost, thanks to the collaboration of several organizations and foundations committed to the community’s well-being.
This Health Fair brought together a wide group of partners, including Xavier University, Mary Joan Foundation, Aruba Vision Center, FEPOH, QUOTA Club, Fundacion Smile Mobile, and Fundacion ABO. The activity proved to be a success once again, and all attendees left highly satisfied as they seized the opportunity to undergo alternative preventive check-ups free of charge.
Among the services available were cholesterol testing, blood pressure readings, blood sugar level checks, hearing tests, eye exams, chest and abdominal check-ups, as well as dental cleanings provided by Fundacion Smile Mobile.
The public also benefited from professional guidance by Dr. G. Fun-A-Fat, who was present to provide advice on the medications individuals use, verify if they are being combined correctly, and explain the proper way to take them.
After completing their examinations, all participants received a small snack and beverage.
If demand and interest continue to grow, it is not ruled out that this activity could be extended to other neighborhoods in Aruba in the future.
