AVP’s proposal to change the Ministry of Kingdom Relations is considered acceptable, even though it goes against all advice from the Council of Advice. According to parliamentarian Jennifer Arends Reyes, after the submission of the LIM (Landsverordering Insteling Ministeries) law to the Council of Advice, AVP proposed that the Ministry of Kingdom Relations could be adjusted.
The party commented that, while they appreciate the recommendations given by the Council of Advice, the current assignment of Minister Gerlien Croes is not entirely logical. However, the final decision on whether to follow or change the advice remains in the hands of the Government of Aruba, depending on whether they choose to follow their own vision or the recommendations of the Council of Advice, which they consider not entirely correct.
