Many families are being destroyed because of drugs and alcohol, immorality, adultery, partying, and much malice. The question is asked: where has the respect for marriage and family gone?
If a person has a beautiful family and sees that their drinking leads to problems, a person of sound judgment will choose their family and not continue drinking and lose everything.
Do you think it is possible for a man to get married, get a mortgage with his wife, build a nice house, start a family, and then let alcohol and drugs destroy everything?
Do you think it is possible for a woman and a man to marry and build their lives, have their children, and then suddenly a young girl or a young guy appears and breaks up a marriage as if nothing had happened?
It is time for people to learn to value their marriage and family because the divorce rate is rising fast and the reasons vary greatly, and the question arises: where has respect for marriage and family gone?
There is also a trend happening in many married couples where they have no respect nor intimacy between the two of them; they talk about everything so that everyone knows how their intimate relationship is.
Keep in mind that whoever speaks badly of their spouse is speaking badly of themselves.
Now, to fix things in marriage and family, we must reach the agreement to put God first. Because the Word of God says: Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her (Ephesians 5:25).
But just as the church is submissive to Christ, so also wives should be submissive to their husbands in everything (Ephesians 5:24).
And let us keep this in mind:
Nevertheless, in the Lord, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God (1 Corinthians 11:11).
Therefore, in a marriage and family, God must be first because man and woman must submit to the Lord. If it is not so, the enemy continuously enters and has a party in the house and causes delays in the house, in everything, even in the education of the children, who see every day that the relationship between mom and dad is not going well.
Imagine, constantly having to wait for the right time when the woman is in a good mood, or the man is in a good mood to talk, while the enemy plunders, kills, and destroys.
How often does a youth not have a problem, but they have to wait for their parents to resolve things so they can try to explain what is happening inside.
How often in a family do things happen, but due to lack of communication, things end up in the hands of other people who cannot help with anything.
But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the husband is the head of his wife, and God is the head of Christ (1 Corinthians 11:3).
There is an urgency for marriage and family to be restored because every marriage and family that does not function as it should is a slave in our society, and the ones who are most harmed are the children, who are often left traumatized.
We pray to God to put His hand in this matter.
