On Monday morning, members of the AVP faction — Jennifer Arends-Reyes, Stephany Sevinger, and Dennerich Kelly — paid a visit to Fundacion Respaldo, an organization that plays an essential role in supporting and guiding individuals facing mental health challenges on our island.
During the visit, the parliamentarians received a comprehensive presentation to closely observe the daily work being carried out, ask questions about the challenges being faced, and express their deep respect and appreciation for the dedication shown in addressing mental health issues in Aruba.
Mental health cannot remain a secondary issue. It is a real priority that affects families, children, youth, and adults. The AVP faction firmly believes that there is a need for greater investment in prevention, more support for organizations working directly in the field, and increased access to professional services for everyone in need.
The AVP faction reaffirms its commitment to continue working in Parliament to strengthen mental health policy, expand collaboration with various sectors, and ensure that no one is left behind.
Together we can build a stronger, more aware, and more supportive Aruba. The AVP faction extends its gratitude to Caroline Hart and Dr. Kingsale of Respaldo for their time and dedication.
