Aruba Bank announced today that Lilly Dirksz, Specialist in Payments Strategy & Solutions, has decided to retire after more than two decades of service to the institution.
Ms. Dirksz began her journey at Aruba Bank in October 2005 as a temporary employee and became a permanent member of the organization on March 6, 2006. Over the following 20 years, she developed a career spanning several of the bank’s main functions.
She started in Corporate before taking on responsibility as CARC Manager. Later, she coordinated the MEGA initiative for the Back Office, contributed to various projects, and, most recently, served as Specialist in Payments Strategy & Solutions; a central role in how the bank continues to modernize how its customers conduct transactions and move money.
“Twenty years of service is exceptional, and twenty years of service across so many different areas of the bank is even more exceptional,” said Marjory Clark, Senior Specialist at Aruba Bank. “Lilly was part of the organization’s professional life during a period full of change. She was willing to take on responsibility wherever needed, was direct in expressing her opinion, and colleagues always knew exactly where they stood with her. This is a genuine contribution, and we will miss her presence.”
Colleagues describe Ms. Dirksz as someone direct in her communication, with a strong work ethic and an unmistakable presence in the building—someone whose energy and sense of humor became part of the character of the teams she worked with.
“I am grateful for the years I spent here and for the people I worked with,” said Ms. Dirksz. “Aruba Bank gave me a career, but above all, it gave me colleagues who became friends and family. I leave with twenty years of memories and look forward to the next chapter.”
During her retirement, Ms. Dirksz plans to travel and enjoy more time with her family and friends.
Aruba Bank expresses its sincere gratitude to Ms. Dirksz for her many years of dedication and wishes her good health, happiness, and all the best in the next chapter of her life.
