The overview of the 2025–2026 parliamentary year of the Parliament of Curaçao provides a detailed look at its legislative work. During this period, members of parliament convened across various committee structures and public meetings, maintaining an active pace in handling motions and legislation.
Meetings and Committees
A total of 19 Public Meetings (Openbare Vergadering) and 5 Solemn Meetings (Plechtige Vergadering) were held during the 2025–2026 parliamentary year. The Central Committee (Centrale Commissie) met 22 times, while Question Time (Vragenuur) was organized 14 times to direct questions to government officials.
Work within the permanent and temporary committees was also intensively pursued:

Committee on Education, Science, Culture, and Sports: 11 meetings.
Temporary Committee on Housing: 9 meetings.
Committee on Social Development, Labor, and Welfare: 5 meetings.
Committee on Traffic, Transport, and Urban Planning; Housing Committee; and Economic Development Committee: 4 meetings each.
Committee on Finance: 3 meetings.
Committee on Health, Environment, and Nature; Committee on Justice; and Seniorenconvent: 2 meetings each.
Committee on Governance, Planning, and Public Service: 1 meeting.
Committee on Parliamentary Working Methods: 0 meetings.
Handling of Motions and Legislation
A total of 22 motions were presented in Parliament. The outcomes were evenly split: 11 motions were approved (5 by majority vote and 6 unanimously), while 11 motions were rejected.
A total of 10 draft bills were submitted, 5 of which were presented by the Government and 5 introduced by MPs themselves as parliamentary initiatives. Regarding the processing of these bills, 16 discussions took place in total: 7 within the Central Committee and 9 in Public Meetings.
