The Youth Parliament initiative continues to prove itself as a highly valuable space for Aruban youth. The structure of the Youth Parliament is divided into distinct essential roles that
contribute to the participants’ development:
Debate and critical thinking development: Youth learn the practice of debating, how to present solid arguments, and how to think critically.
Presentation of proposals and projects: Those assuming the role of youth parliamentarians bring forward proposals to be debated, with the aim of generating potential projects for the country.
Execution of community projects: Youth ministers are in charge of executing various projects in the community alongside fellow youth, ensuring a participatory approach where everyone can lend a helping hand.
National and international representation: Youth who have reached 18 years of age and serve as youth representatives receive the opportunity to represent Aruba on a broader scale, taking part in both national and international debates.
