On Wednesday, November 4, 2026, our Little League Aruba U8 selection players will depart for Punta Cana to represent Aruba in the “Big Boys 2026” Little League international competition in Santo Domingo.
Aruba will be represented by players in the U8 category of Little League Aruba who competed fiercely during the championship. The selection is composed of players from different Central League teams, including players from RedMachine, Sabana Grandi Jets, Grasshoppers, and Rockets.
Following a highly competitive Little League championship where many of these players battled against each other, tomorrow they will board the flight together with a single goal: to represent Aruba.
The Aruban team consists of J’Veon Toppenberg, Ian Chirino, Dylan Fernandes, Nowi Ochoa, Xenon Croes, Zhyxion de Jongh, Bryson Marin, Brayden Briesen, Oliver Brete, Lyon Lopes, and Jaylen Inacio.
The selection is managed by Manager Marwin Briesen (RedMachine), who incidentally went undefeated to win the U8 championship with his team during the Little League season. Naturally, the team enjoys tremendous support and guidance from a coaching staff that includes Coach Bryan Lopes (Grasshoppers), Coach Danny Fernandes (RedMachine), and Coach Beno Chirino (Grasshoppers).
On behalf of the players, we would like to thank the people of Aruba who supported this team so enthusiastically, especially ATCO Aruba, Ecogas, Ecotech, Ecotech Freezone, Lotto pa Deporte, UTA, Garrison Security, Globopay, Odubros, Total Finance, AHATA, Eagle Aruba, Ennia, and Printshop. At the same time, we express our gratitude to the Little League Aruba organization for their guidance throughout the preparation process. The team is ready to compete hard and deliver a outstanding performance. Our island is small, but our kids have big hearts!
