Representatives of the AVP faction in the Parliament of Aruba attended the final presentation of the CORVI (Climate and Ocean Risk Vulnerability Index) assessment, an in-depth study on climate risk and marine socio-economic vulnerability for Aruba.

The event, organized by the National Climate Resilience Council of Aruba (NCRC), marked the conclusion of a year-long collaboration between Aruba and The Stimson Center, supported by key partners including AAA, Arubabank, AHATA, ATA, the Central Bank of Aruba, the Government of Aruba, MetaCorp, SETAR, WEB, and Utilities Aruba.

During the presentation, important findings and key recommendations were shared to help strengthen the island’s climate resilience capacity.
CORVI serves as a scientific and objective tool that helps identify vulnerable areas and guides the development of strategies to protect Aruba from the impacts of climate change and ocean-related risks.

“The AVP faction recognizes the importance of this initiative for Aruba’s sustainable future and values the joint effort between the public and private sectors,” said faction leader Jennifer Arends-Reyes.
“We remain committed to pursuing evidence-based environmental management that protects the well-being of our people and our natural environment.”

The AVP faction invites all citizens to stay engaged and participate in the dialogue on climate resilience.
The fight against climate change is a responsibility we all share.
