He elaborated on different aspects that are important for athletes of all ages. A few weeks ago, the Aruba Athletes’ Commission (AAC) organized the first “Athletes’ Forum” in Aruba, with a large presence of athletes from many different sports. Since this was the first major forum organized by the Aruba Olympic Committee (COA) and the AAC, they ensured that a special guest was invited who could share a wealth of information and content valuable to all athletes present.
As the special guest, Carlos Santiago OLY, an Olympic judoka (Sydney 2000), was invited. He is currently an educator for the Athlete365 platform and also serves as an executive member of the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Athletes’ Commission of PANAMSPORTS and the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Carlos prepared several workshops for the forum, including: athletes’ rights, Public Speaking, and the Athlete365 platform.
Carlos delivered the workshops in a very interactive and dynamic manner, showing a high level of participation from all attendees. There was also great interest from the youth, who asked various questions to better understand the topics presented.
Finally, Carlos participated in a session with the Olympic athletes, where they shared their experiences as athletes and their lives after their athletic careers.
COA and AAC thank Carlos for his excellent presentations and for sharing his extensive knowledge with our sports community.
