With less than a month to go until Aruba’s biggest summer event, the excitement is building rapidly. The Bright Summer Festival is set to take place on August 9th and 10th, featuring international headline performances by Kapo, Cultura Profética, Ir Sais, Jeon, and many more. Ticket sales are already strong in both the General and Standing VIP sections, with buyers from Aruba and abroad securing their spot.
The table section is completely sold out, and other ticket categories are seeing very strong sales. Traditionally, many locals wait until the last minute to buy tickets, but with ticket prices increasing closer to the event, it is strongly advised to purchase in advance.
Earlier this month, KAPO — one of the top voices in Latin Afrobeat — released a brand-new album e, which has received global support through Apple Music, YouTube, and Spotify. The album features major collaborations with Feid, Ryan Castro, and others, and has received a warm welcome from fans.
KAPO’s show in Aruba is shaping up to be a truly special performance, as he will travel with a full production crew of 25 people, including a pianist, percussionist, guitarist, DJ, 8 dancers, and technical staff. He is currently on tour in Europe, with his final European performance scheduled for August 3rd, after which he will fly to Aruba.
It is important to note that this is a beach festival, with the main stage located on the sand, allowing attendees to enjoy Aruba’s stunning nature in a unique setting — while also being mindful of environmental care. The food court, featuring food trucks and vendors, will be positioned on the asphalt for comfort and accessibility.
Many attendees have already started shopping for their beachwear and festival outfits as excitement grows for what is expected to be a massive turnout of both local and international guests.
Popular singer Ir Sais will also take part in the festival, but will exclusively perform at the Pier Party on Sunday at Pelican Pier. Due to the pier’s limited capacity, that event is completely sold out.
Representing Aruba and our beloved Papiamento language, JEON will make his return to the island following a short musical break to welcome the birth of his first child. He will also be coming off a European tour with shows in the Netherlands and Germany during the final week of July. JEON will perform with his full band and debut a brand-new show.
The announcement of legendary Spanish reggae band Cultura Profética joining the lineup has sparked a wave of excitement across the island. Social media has been buzzing with comments like “Finally!”, “Now I’m definitely going”, “Great decision!”, “The whole crew is going”, and “My dream came true.” Formed in 1996, Cultura Profética will bring a crew of over 30 people to Aruba for what promises to be a spectacular live performance.
Tickets are available at Citgo Boulevard, Citgo Essoville, Pay.aw, and online at brightsummeraruba.com.
Bright Summer Festival is powered by Amstel Bright, CasaAmigos Tequila, Romar Trading, Embassy Suites, Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort, Rayo, Kini Kini, Elite Empire Entertainment, Pelican Pier, and Infinity Media & Events.
