On the occasion of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of our Coat of Arms of Aruba (15 November 1955 – 15 November 2025), the Department of Culture Aruba (DCA) announces that it has developed and published a series of digital educational and cultural materials dedicated to the national symbol that represents our pride, unity and identity as a people.
The coat of arms of Aruba is a symbol of pride, unity and history — a reflection of our values, our identity and our progress. DCA firmly believes that knowledge and appreciation of our national symbols strengthen the sense of belonging and cultural identity, particularly among our youth.
For this reason, DCA has worked on educational and informational materials that are available for use in schools and for the entire Aruban community.
Materials for schools:
– A one-pager – 70 Years of Our Coat of Arms of Aruba with basic information and visually attractive content for children of different ages.
– A digital booklet with extensive explanations about the history, symbolism and design of our coat of arms, available as a digital download.
Materials for the community:
– A special television segment in the programme Bentana Cultural (Telearuba) dedicated to the anniversary of our coat of arms.
– Publication of educational and cultural content on DCA’s digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and in the local press.
DCA invites all primary and secondary schools to visit our website and use these materials as an educational resource to encourage discussion and national pride in lessons and classroom activities.
