In January, Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB)
recognized eleven visitors as Bonaire Ambassadors in our efforts to continue promoting
Bonaire to our visitors.
In the silver category, Jim and Kathy Lagerman, as well as Jeff and Teresa Powers, from
the United States, were honored. They have been visiting Bonaire for 16 consecutive
years. Dag and Brit Fredriksen, from Norway, were honored in the same category. They
have been visiting Bonaire for 17 years.
In the gold category, the honor went to Jan Arie and Maria Jacoba den Hollander from
the Netherlands, who have been coming to Bonaire for 20 years. Their friends Oliveiro
and his wife from restaurant El Mundo put them in the spotlight for this award.
A gold pin was also awarded to Yves Pognonec, and John and Martha Lange. They are all
from the United States and have been visiting Bonaire for 20 years.
Helen Mercera, on behalf of TCB, was in charge of the ceremonies. She presented the
certificates and accompanying pins to our ambassadors.
