The National Library of Aruba invites the community to visit the exhibition of visual artist Lucia Lacle. The exhibition opens this Monday and will remain open until the end of March 2026.
Mrs. Lucia Lacle presents a collection of 40 colorful and expressive artworks. The title of her exhibition is simply “Soul Expression.” The public can view paintings and drawings created with different materials such as acrylic, oil, watercolor, and charcoal, each producing a different artistic result.
“Soul Expression” reflects Lucia’s personal artistic development. The exhibition includes works featuring landscapes, nature and flowers, still life, and portraits, presented in various styles and compositions ranging from realism to slightly abstract forms. Other pieces express emotion, movement, and color. Together, the works showcase her balance and artistic freedom.
Lucia Lacle has been painting for more than 40 years, and this marks her first solo exhibition open to the public.
The exhibition will be open during the regular library hours. Lucia Lacle will also be present to give a guided tour and explanation on Wednesday afternoon, March 11, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and also on Anthem and Flag Day from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
