On Saturday, September 2, 2023, at approximately 12:43 p.m., the Central Police Command directed a police unit to an address in Kaya Elisha, to assist the team in charged of planning of the Traffic, Transportation and Urban Planning, and illegal construction.
At the site, police noted that VVRP personnel had come across unusual cables used for home construction and that the cables likely belonged to Aqualectra. Aqualectra personnel recognized these cables and confiscated them.
The suspect FB, a 51-year-old Haitian-born man who was in the siege, was left behind and arrested. They seized him and brought him before the Assistant Prosecutor who ordered him to be held in custody until further investigation.
