Last Thursday, January 8, at the Aruba Bank cafeteria in Camacuri, the Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach, accompanied by several important stakeholders, announced the 27th edition of the Kiwanis Palm Beach Masquerade Party, a fundraising event organized in the form of a party with one clear purpose: to raise funds in order to continue contributing to our community, especially our children.
The history of our Masquerade Party is more than just a party; it is a story with a profound impact on our community. For this edition, we thank Aruba Bank for answering our call, demonstrating that they believe in and support our mission to help our community. This year’s theme is “RenAIssance The Fusion of Past and Future.” A fusion of past and future, combining history with innovation for an unforgettable experience.
The bands that will entertain the evening are: Robert y su Solo Banda Show, N’Fuzion, and Tsunami, ensuring an unforgettable night for all attendees. And as always, surprises await!
The party will take place on February 6, starting at 9:00 PM, at the Renaissance Convention Center. The contribution (ticket) is Afl. 500.00 per couple, all-inclusive, featuring a premium bar, finger food, soup, and the opportunity to win spectacular door prizes, including awards for the best costume.
Most importantly: 100% of the funds raised go directly back into the community.
The funds will support programs and projects that benefit our children, including:
- Child-Seat Awareness: A project carried out by Kiwanis Palm Beach in collaboration with Wit Gele Kruis, which besides distributing child seats to families with fewer resources—also conducts awareness programs aimed at improving child traffic safety, including through social media.
- StimAmi GuiAmi: An educational program in collaboration with Fundación pa Nos Muchanan, focused on parental education to improve communication and bonding between parent and child, especially during early childhood (ages 0–4).
- Invest in Me: A project focused on financial education how to manage money especially for our children.
- Service Leadership Programs in various schools, including:
- Terrific Kids in 5 primary schools
- Kiwanis Builders Club in 2 secondary schools (MAVO)
- Kiwanis Circle K at the University of Aruba
These programs focus on the development of children and youth in various areas, including self-love, character development, teamwork, and especially leadership.
All of this and more would not be possible without your contribution. We thank all contributors of the past 26 editions and look forward to seeing you again on February 6 at the Renaissance Convention Center!
