The Government of Aruba through Finance Minister Xiomara Maduro is working on the 2024 Budget. This week, the mandate along with experts from the Department of Finance reviewed the ‘Meibrief’ which is the letter of the Minister of Finance to the Council of Ministers containing the financial framework that will later become the Budget 2024 of our country. The president explained that decisions have to be taken in the Council of Ministers so that the Budget 2024 can also contain a surplus of 1% of our GDP. Minister of Finance Maduro is working to this year again to properly comply with our Constitution to deliver Budget 2024 on time, before September 1, 2023 to the Parliament of Aruba. Minister Maduro will keep the people informed about the work to finalize the Budget 2024.
