Ministerio Di Turismo A Compromete Su Mes Cu Nos Historia Y Cultura Florece

At FortZoutman it was an emotional night where the culture of Aruba was felt. Minister of Tourism Dangui Oduber is extremely happy and proud to be present in Fortzoutman for the reopening of the 4 museums of Aruba. The new agreement signed between A.T.A., A.P.A. and FMA guarantees that the 4 museums will be active again for the locals, but also especially for our visitors where the tourist can learn more about our culture.

Aruba Tourism Authority A.T.A will also help promote the culture of Aruba and thus promote our history. For museums, the onset of the pandemic created a very stressful and difficult situation in which all museums had to close their doors. The truth is that it has not been easy to get to where we are at these moments after the great efforts of fellow minister Xiomara Maduro who on several occasions approached the ministry of tourism to see if there are funds available that can help push for the opening of these museums so that they become operational for the benefit of the culture and history of Aruba to our locals and tourists as well.

Today, with the pandemic over and tourism booming, it is possible to say that thanks to this growth, the A.T.A. and A.P.A. funds have been able to restore the four museums.

According to Minister of Tourism Dangui Oduber we are very aware of the importance that our history and our culture have for us as Arubians, but also our visitors who are more and more demanding to know our history, our culture and how Aruba has developed itself in the last decades, that is why it was so important to seek the funds and thanks to the growth of tourism A.T.A can help and reach an agreement and make this reopening possible.

According to Minister Dangui Oduber, the Ministry of Tourism has long been committed to our history and culture. A.T.A. and A.P.A. but also TPEF are assisting with the average of available funds, but also for the restoration of archaeological museums where several projects are already underway. In this way the Ministry of Tourism continues to commit itself to our culture. Therefore, it is very important for the four museums to be open for business and for tourists to come and visit to know our rich history and culture.

The Minister of Tourism thanks the Aruba Tourism Authority and the Aruba Ports Authority for making the funds available and wishes all those involved in the reactivation of the museums every success. Culture we have to live and now also the tourists will have the opportunity to live our culture and learn more about us as the country of Aruba.
