The Caribbean Culture Fund (CCG) invites organizations in Bonaire and Sint Maarten to submit project ideas that contribute to awareness and commemoration of the trans-Atlantic slavery past. This open call takes place in collaboration with the Cultural Fund (CFNL) and is supported by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB).

The call is part of a DNB program that provides € 500,000 for Bonaire and € 500,000 for Sint Maarten, aimed at initiatives with sustainable cultural impact. The execution of this program is carried out together with CFNL and CCG, who jointly advise DNB regarding the approval of the grants.

Purpose of the call
The support is intended for organizations and institutions involved in:
– preserving historical heritage related to the slavery past,
– developing cultural educational programs to expand knowledge of this history,
– or establishing museum and cultural facilities that contribute to awareness and knowledge transfer to a broad audience.

The goal is to support projects that can make a lasting difference in strengthening cultural historical awareness and community connection.

Collaboration
CFNL and CCG advise DNB on the selection of the projects.
CCG contributes its local knowledge and Caribbean network, while CFNL applies its expertise in project and grant evaluation.
DNB acts solely as the financier.
None of the three parties is involved in the development or execution of the projects.

Submitting proposals
Local organizations and cultural institutions on Bonaire and Sint Maarten may submit their project proposals from November 19 to December 31, 2025 via info@cultuurfondscg.com.

Important: Read the instructions on the website before submitting a proposal:
